OCELOT PROTOTYPE RACE PARTS

This is an ongoing collection of parts for a Mk IV Ocelot race car that one of my clients is modernizing to race in more modern classes. This project has started as modeling some preexisting brake components. It has snowballed into me starting to recreate the whole car in CAD using a 3D scanner to more accurately model parts and create parts using generative design to achieve a lighter and faster car. This project has pushed my CAD limits by me having to take into account manufacturability of the parts and various metal properties to create a lighter and stronger part than on the vehicle already. This project is ongoing, and I don’t think it will ever be truly finished. I think as my CAD and engineering skills continue to improve, I will be able to come back to this project, and it can grow as my skill set grows.
