4 SPEED TRANSMISSION

This project stemmed from the MAZ-537 build that used a 2 speed transmission and would like some higher gears for a faster top speed. This new design also relocated the shift servos into the transmission body, giving it a more compact design and making it easier to incorporate into various projects. This transmission also incorporates a single motor vs the MAZ dual motor plate, which gives it more modularity for various applications. The newest use for this transmission is in my 1/14 scale Peterbilt 379 that I have started working on. This was another driving force to the change to one motor, as the engine compartment on the Peterbilt is significantly narrower than that of the MAZ.
